Re: WUSTL Recent Grad (and others) Taking Questions
Fair enough Cuse, but this isn't random Missourians discussing this, it's law students, most of whom are not from Missouri. It would be less surprising if you were in a bar and heard some rando rednecks having the same conversation.
Hoos I don't think anyone is blowing it out of proportion. It came up, we were discussing it. No one said she should never be able to be a lawyer, or should get in trouble, or anything like that. I think the discussion was just whether people felt bad for her or not. I'm not sure how that's blowing anything out of proportion, but to each their own. Sounds like you know her, so maybe you have a different perspective.

If Outlaw wants anything from the administration, now is the time to ask.

Oh for sure, but like this all worked out well for him since he got shown up. Plus tbf it's BS that they started turning the lights off anyways, so this is a win win all around.sublime wrote:scottidsntknow wrote:True. Which is kind of unfortunate.
Let's not forget in all of this that CC'ing the whole school on his petty fucking complaint was childish.

How about they update those horrible wooden chairs in the library? Seriously, how much could that possibly cost?

I feel like putting Reply-all girl's upcoming no-offer letter up on the projector, along with a copy of the email she sent, ought to get the message across in a concise and effective fashion.sublime wrote:I feel like only a professor can stretch "don't be an asshole" out to an entire hour.

Re: WUSTL Recent Grad (and others) Taking Questions
who gets off on sending this to ATL? All it does it harm the school. And taking pride in her getting a no offer? That's pretty low guys. I'm sure she's well aware of the consequences and I'm sure she's already facing them but it seems pretty low to be appluading her misfortunre.
seperately, the school has a pretty terrible listserv policy if it allows students to reply all so easily to thousands of people

Re: WUSTL Recent Grad (and others) Taking Questions
I agree. I'm surprised it's not abused more. As far as ATL, I mean, no reason to take pride in the school. If you have an offer, fuck it, you're just waiting to make money. If not, fuck it, your school probably failed you in some way. Either way, surprised there were "several" tipsters, although, I do know some people are pissed, so shaming her nationally for the mistake I guess is their way of saying FU.goldeneye wrote:who gets off on sending this to ATL? I agree, hoping for a rescinded offer is way too much for hitting reply all instead of forward. The humiliation she is getting is more than enough.

Re: WUSTL Recent Grad (and others) Taking Questions
If the reference to applauding a possible no offer is referring to me, reread the last page. I'm not rooting for that outcome even a little bit, I just know that people in this situation get crucified as often as not.
On a side note, I discussed this with my (gay) sister, and she found the email in question offensive as hell.
