What is the point of having a grading deadline if it isn't enforced? This is ridiculous.ek5dn wrote:nope. and neither is my lrm gradeRareExports wrote:Did Levin's go up yet? AFAIK he's the only one outstanding for 1Ls.

Lol, true story. I'm still missing a grade myself and the Professor is out of town until the 13th. I imagine that I won't have a grade until some time late in the month.tebowtime23 wrote:What is the point of having a grading deadline if it isn't enforced? Don't go to WUSTL but lurking just because of the activity and the occasional WUSTL drama. Highest grade was a 4.30 in one of your classes. Can someone explain how WUSTL grades?

Re: WUSTL Recent Grad (and others) Taking Questions
Professors are free to give up to 4.3 in any classes to award someone who did particularly well in that class but the mean will still be between 3.49 and 3.55. Professors are not obligated to do that, and it does not happen very often. It is a super gpa boost when it happens though.

So WUSTL doesn't give out letter grades, just numbers?

There are letter grades, but only numbers matter in terms of ranking.

Not as if I have any control, but which of the 1L Fall profs should I be hoping to get? http://law.wustl.edu/registrar/coursedi ... 1Lgrid.pdf

Only doctrinal prof I had on the grid at all was Norwood, and I really enjoyed her. But Tamanaha is amazing too, so you can't go wrong in Torts.
I like the look of A: Norwood, Badawi, Drobak.
Double points for A&B who get Property in the Fall since that guarantees avoidance of some of the... less... good... property profs.

Re: WUSTL Recent Grad (and others) Taking Questions
Drobak and Tamanaha are basically universally well-respected. People say good things about Badawi too. All of the LP professors are great, and none of the LRM ones are (possibly with the exception of Kloempken, but I don't know enough about him to form judgment).splitterfromhell wrote:Not as if I have any control, but which of the 1L Fall profs should I be hoping to get? http://law.wustl.edu/registrar/coursedi ... 1Lgrid.pdf
Edit: Don't know anything about Sachs, Epps, or Miller. I think they're all new.
Edit 2: Have heard very strongly mixed things about Norwood and Greenfield.
Edit 3: Con law first semester is weird.

Re: WUSTL Recent Grad (and others) Taking Questions
If you are in E or F, Magarian and Tamanaha is the way to go! That said, I would probably go with A or B so that I would definitely not have some of the less "good" property professors in the spring....

Not to disagree with the above poster, because I didn't mind Magarian, but most people I know disliked him, and he's not a great lecturer.
