Yeah, that sucks. I'm not looking out of NE Ohio though.

These are national universities. They are not going to be ranked regionally in the Midwest.

No, they are not going to be ranked in the same category because they do not fit the category of "offer a full range of undergrad programs and some master's programs but few doctoral programs." They are full-fledged universities which offers lots of doctoral programs.

Also, the link provides the best universities in the Midwest that are undergraduate colleges which also provide master's degrees but limited doctoral opportunities. It is not simply ranking master's programs.

The point is, this is an incredibly silly category.

Where is Pete Carroll ranked in in the "List of Schools with Between 5-15 Red Brick Campus Cuildings and No Less than 4 Minority Tenured Professors?"

How do they do with respect to the rankings for "Schools With a Female Dean and at Least 2 Auditoriums and a Few Doctoral Programs, but Not Too Many?"

I suppose this doesn't have to an utter disaster if OP receives a full ride. If she succumbs to the odds and loses the money, she can simply drop out and have nothing more than COL loans for one year to deal with.

Legallyblonde isn't the OP. But even if she was, she has already said she'd have no problem paying sticker.

I'm 96% sure schools 7-24 on this list are made up colleges from 90s coming-of-age movies.

Will Akron Law's ranking drop when Lebron becomes a Knick?

This post evokes so much raw humor, fail, and pwnage that I really don't to know how to approriately respond.

I cannot believe someone tried to say they will do well in law school because they went to an unknown Midwestern school that is ranked 7th in the region in "schools with some masters programs and maybe also some doctoral programs, but not a whole lot of doctoral programs."

Utter awesomeness.

Ohio State, Case, and Cleveland-Marshall

Did you get into OSU and Case?

I have not applied yet.

So if you get in to Case or OSU will you go there over Akron. They are both far far better schools. Both will give you the best opportunity to get a good job in Ohio.

Ive been spending most of the morning looking through NALP data on all the major firms in my preferred destination areas(summer analyst intern at a large company, I have a lot of downtime). Lets just say this data is making me think twice about attending anything other than HYSCC with less than a full scholarship. I knew things were bad but the actual numbers are scary...

And someone here was willing to pay sticker at Akron??? For IP!?!?! With no science/tech background?? I would have a hard time paying sticker for Berkeley IP right now.

Dont do it..

Trick question. Akron doesn't rank.

Definitely good to hear. You should also maybe think about applying to UC.

Yeah go to UC. It costs almost the same as Akron, and you really won't have to worry about losing the scholly that took you there, then be stuck at a lower ranked school when its gone and you can't transfer up.

Wait how is UC the same as Akron? UC is top 60 and Akron is a TTT. I understand that UC isn't the best law school but I don't see your logic. Never mind it was I who did not read your advice correctly!

To be fair, I added the bolded part and forgot to add a FTFY, but yes.

Disparaging legallyblonde is pretty unnecessary at this point. I'm pretty sure she well understands what posters ITT think of her plans (as well as her UG, for that matter). Let's just move along.

Decent chance this could turn into the next Nova v. Barry.
