Southwestern Class of 2017
Going to SouthWestern on a scholly and staying in on campus housing. Despite the clear opinion of many TLSers I have contacts with several folks that have successfully leveraged 1L at SouthWetern into transfers to UCLA, USC, Boalt and Stanford. With their help my goal is to do the same. It's a risk I'm willing to take. I know there are others going to SW who may not want to post on a thread. If so PM me.

*Southwestern. It might be helpful to know how to properly capitalize the name of the school you're attending.Southwestee wrote:Going to SouthWestern on a scholly and staying in on campus housing. Also lol at creating a class thread and announcing your intent to transfer to a better school in the OP.

I think it's brilliant. It's called leverage. This guy is already thinking like a lawyer (with balls)Mullens wrote:Also lol at creating a class thread and announcing your intent to transfer to a better school in the OP.

10 for Stanford, 41 for UCLA, 37 for USC, 32 for Boalt. Approx 5% of Southwestern students transfer out.NYSprague wrote:How many transfers do each of these schools take? I just don't see Stanford accepting a transfer from here. But it is just idle curiousity on my part.

My friend did it two years ago...early admission into USC after 1L at Southwestern. I did it -but not from Southwestern - and a friend of mine at Southwestern is currently applying for transfer and her chances a pretty good. You have to be at the top of your class which is not easy but with the right plan and connections it's definitely possible. Good luck!

All of those transfers are from this school? (Edit: I think that is total, I'm an idiot.)I admit, I have never even heard of this school and know nothing about transfers.

Really excited because my friend was just accepted into USC as a transfer from Southwestern today. She worked with the same tutor I will be working with. Personally, I'm glad so many are skeptical because if everyone knew it was as possible as I know it is then the competition would be all the more stiff.GouldGirl wrote:My friend did it two years ago...early admission into USC after 1L at Southwestern.
