$530 seems like good work to me. I think I was around $600 mostly through Amazon.

Less than 2 weeks till classes start. Looking forward to getting started with just a dash of dread. The AJDs at the career panel painted a less-than-rosy picture of the first summer. At least it's only 10 weeks I suppose.

Got all mine for about $575.

Now, looking at fucking ultrabooks/airs. ugh.

Do we have reading due for any classes Mon/Tues? I was only able to find the Contracts reading posted (with no due dates), but I am not at all confident that I was looking in the right places.

For the first day, you will likely have reading assignments for each class. I believe most of the first assignments came from e-mails from the professors (they may wait until a few days before classes start to send the info). Make sure you read the cases as people will get called on (or profs will at least accept volunteers to discuss cases) starting on day 1. Do you have access to Blackboard yet? If so, you should also look there.

Good luck as you embark on your AJD journey!

Mr. Hart

Thanks--checked Blackboard this morning. The classes seem to be set up, but none of the fields seem to be populated yet, at least with my login credentials. If any 2016's have had different results, let me know.

I feel the same way (that there is a spot to check I am missing or something). I check Canvas and Blackboard everyday and the only thing I've found is that date-less Contracts syllabus and the first day's Powerpoint. Hope they email us soon...

Ok, well as long as we have the same info, I'm at least more confident that I'm not missing something important.

So, we're handing over a $50 check to our Negotiations prof for "fees" (as per her syllabus)? Sketch as shit...

Looks like both Negotations and Contracts will conclude at the end the end of June. Negotiations looks like it will be a ton of in-class time for that month. It will probably be a fun class, but 9 hours of negotiations sessions per week might make it tougher to complete the readings for our other courses.

Hah yup.

Unrelated: are there really only 22 in our class? Per past years, expecting ~28-30.

Guess we'll see Monday. In the Dean's chat, he mentioned that USNWR now includes JD-MBA and AJD data in the overall class LSAT/GPA numbers, so admissions in those programs may become more numbers-sensitive. Applying a less flexible test to a small applicant pool could produce more variance in class size. If we do wind up with a smaller class, I certainly won't complain.

Northwestern AJD Class of 2017 needs to step up its TLS game. The lack of chatter is - peculiar.

Look at the date this thread was started, 2017 AJD's still have 16 days to start the thread. It doesn't help that they haven't accepted anyone yet.

This.

Feel free to reach out with any/all questions - there are many AJDs on TLS happy to chat with current applicants. Know our current 2016 AJD class had many questions last application cycle, so would love to pay forward the insight/guidance we received.
