Yah Attax and I can get $3 brews at Crown & Anchor and be home before the shuttle even arrives. Totally worth it

Anybody play golf? I've picked it up the last year or so and have got to the point where I actually can keep score. I'd love to play a few rounds before school starts.

I golf. I'm not sure if my clubs will make the cut for the moving truck though. If they do, I'm down.

If they allow you to drink and smoke cigars more than golf allows you to drink and smoke cigars, I'm all ears.

For the Austinites/former students: Does the Metrobus stop any closer to the law school than 12th & Guadalupe during the school year? I think that's the closest stop right now, but didn't know if that was just because it's Summer.

Do you mean the Metrorapid bus? I think that's as close to the law school as you'll get by taking it but there is probably also a shuttle that could take you from that area to the law school (presumably Forty Acres would). I think that would be a bit of a pain when it's hot (so, like, 6 months out of the year).

After a big day of skydiving we always celebrate with beer.

There's a drop off for MetroRapid near the coop, right across the street pick up on the 40 acres and ride it to the LS.

Thanks - I was looking at the Route 1 under the Metrobus tab
here. The stop at Lamar & Koenig is right by where I'll be living, so I was seeing if any of the other stops were usefully close to the law school. Don't feel like messing with heat/transfers, so I'll probably just get the garage pass instead.

It stops near the coop and the 40 acres just runs around campus so that'd work really well actually.

Anyone wanna PM me what the "gift" they're sending is?
I'm currently at a different location than my mailing address, so it's not like it isn't going to be "spoiled" when my family calls to tell me what it is seeing as I won't be back for at least a month.

***********SPOILER ************
It's like a UT law portfolio thing and some miscellaneous stuff (like a screen rag? IDK)
It's not bigger scholarships.

The fact that it's an "iPadfolio" with a holder/stand makes me wonder if there won't be one more gift before school starts.

Anyone else get the law preview scholarship? I just heard back and have a few days to accept, but wanted to know if it's worth the time. I think I'll do it since it's free and I don't have any plans that would interfere, but if it's a total waste would rather play golf and sleep.

I didn't even bother applying for one. I'm trying to do a little prep, but not much.

If drinking copious amounts of alcohol with my friends is prep, then I've been doing plenty

Between bar covers, drink tabs, & the cost of buying alcohol, it's actually sickening how much money I'd save if I didn't drink alcohol.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
