I submitted my housing app on 4/23, any idea when we will start hearing about that?

The priority deadline is May 15, so we'll probably have to wait awhile!Jessasaurus wrote:I submitted my housing app on 4/23, any idea when we will start hearing about that?

Re: Columbia Class of 2017
tried to get to the bottom of this @law.columbia.edu business by sending a test email to what would be my address and see if it forwards. hasn't showed up in my Lionmail inbox...so I dunno, my name is common enough that I might have a first name last name doppelgänger. and with that, my resources and expertise are exhausted...convoluted tech garbage...
still need to do the dean certification...do we need to order a paper copy of our UG transcripts now?
real talk: where is society heading with this junk? proliferation of little bits of information and overload of bureaucratic responsibilities visited on the average citizen is starting to get life consuming...but this is how economic activity, or just keeping people occupied on a daily basis, will continue post-industrial?

Tried the same thing with unique name combo. Got back a failure to deliver message. But the website did say that we wouldn't have to worry about setting up the @law.columbia emails.EquallyWrong wrote:tried to get to the bottom of this @law.columbia.edu business by sending a test email to what would be my address and see if it forwards. hasn't showed up in my Lionmail inbox...so I dunno, my name is common enough that I might have a first name last name doppelgänger. and with that, my resources and expertise are exhausted...convoluted tech garbage...

Soooo much waiting.drevo wrote:I believe I read somewhere that they don't start completely reviewing them until after the May 15th deadline and then we can expect to hear back like late May/early June. Not sure where I read that so I may be mistaken.Jessasaurus wrote:I submitted my housing app on 4/23, any idea when we will start hearing about that?

It's an August move for me, plan the definitive, canonical TLS happy hour accordingly...lightweights advised to bring some applejuice to tide them over while the rest of us establish our prestige in the barroom.

180 response. That's the can-do attitude that makes Columbia Law grads number 1 for employment in today's cut throat legal market.papercut wrote:I'll begin my training regiment.EquallyWrong wrote:It's an August move for me, plan the definitive, canonical TLS happy hour accordingly...lightweights advised to bring some applejuice to tide them over while the rest of us establish our prestige in the barroom.
ETA: survived CLS TLS 2017 happy hour will be something to put on your resume...at OCI all the V5 firms will be genuinely taken aback and say "this is just the sort of hard charging psychopath we need to get stuff done at our massive, overly bureaucratic monolith of a firm. sign this chap up at double the starting salary!"

Down for happy hour, unless I get shy and chicken out. I'll be gone from mid-July through early August though.

I've already done the Federal Direct Loan request form I got in the mail from the Financial Aid office...does anyone know what we need to do for the May 15 deadline for Plus loans?
May 15: Federal Loan Application(s) to Federal Direct Loan Program and/or Private Loan Application(s) to Financial Aid Office

You have to wait for your grant info. I don't have mine yet.lioness2017 wrote:I've already done the Federal Direct Loan request form I got in the mail from the Financial Aid office...does anyone know what we need to do for the May 15 deadline for Plus loans?

After that, I think they'll let you know what the next steps are.
