The site map suggests that's only for financial aid not merit.bonerland wrote:http://www.law.berkeley.edu/6951.htm
The law school produces grant and scholarship offers independently and notifies recipients directly. Grant and scholarship awards made by the law school are assimilated into the federal student aid offer and result in a package combining the federal student loans, campus-based aid, and grants and scholarships. Graduate PLUS Loan or private student loan eligibility is generally the difference between the standard student budget and the financial aid package.
Take that as you will.

I reread the Scholarship FAQ email that was sent about a week ago. Scholarships will be emailed from the admissions office sometime between now and April 15th.

Does anyone else go on craigslist sometimes and look at apartments and worry about going broke? Ugh.

I submitted my matching scholarship application just last night... any very recent submitters hear back already?

Does anyone know if the need based grant gets added on to the matching scholarship amount?

I'm guessing you're from Ohio too? I'm really gonna miss being able to rent an apt for $350-400.wowhio wrote:Does anyone else go on craigslist sometimes and look at apartments and worry about going broke? Ugh.

Haha I was just doing this exact same thing. Man, there are some beautiful apartments though (if you won the lottery...)wowhio wrote:Does anyone else go on craigslist sometimes and look at apartments and worry about going broke? Ugh.

I love you Berkeley, seriously, but what am I supposed to do with a $140 need grant for the 2014-2015 academic year. Just struck me as kind of odd is all...

Not originally, but for the last four years... yes. I keep telling myself it's worth every penny to get out of this weather. (And after this winter, convincing myself of that really wasn't hard at all, actually.)ashley82929 wrote:I'm guessing you're from Ohio too?wowhio wrote:Does anyone else go on craigslist sometimes and look at apartments and worry about going broke? Re: UC-Berkeley Class of 2017
Hey I had this exactly the same question. I talked to someone in financial aid and he said that if you didn't get an email yet that means they haven't reviewed your info yet. He told me I would probably have my offer by next weekbayareabruin wrote:I'm sorry if this has already been addressed, but I logged into MyFinAid this morning and it had a cost breakdown plus the total cost of attendance--there was no indication of a financial award and the "gift aid" section said zero. Does this mean that I am not being offered merit aid or is the review process still ongoing? I read that they try to notify you promptly when they either decide to or not to offer you money.
Also, does anyone know the deadline for submitting a matching scholarship application?
Thanks!

Does anyone know where I can find info on a Berkeley JD/MBA? Or information on JD/MBA alumni?
The official websites don't have much information.

Yes, I did! They didn't email me. It was just on the site so I called them and they're behind sending notifications but it has been updated on your financial aid site!

Still no word on matching scholarship. Although, honestly, it would take more than just matching to make me go to Berkeley.

eta: I really hope this isn't the case-I'm still at a big 0, and don't really have anything to submit for matching . Gahh, Berkeley, why must you be so stingy? Don't you know I love you?
