Yeah, while the student they connected me with had a lot in common with me, my alum contact was a rather odd choice. I think some of it has to come down to how many people are willing to participate. Still, it's a nice resource to have.

Just thought I'd pass that on in case anyone was hesitant to take him up on his offer. It could turn out to be a great way to get info on NYU directly from professors in the field you're interested in.
