Obviously I'm not shooting for the bottom of the class but when everyone is pretty much on the same level academically I'm not naive enough to think it isn't possible. Also is there a significant amount of people shooting for big law that strike out and what seems to be their options after that? Obviously I should have asked these questions a bit earlier but I'm going regardless.
From what I've seen in other threads a lot of people at the bottom of the class at least find SOMETHING since a lot of people self select into public interest and to a much lesser extent academics. Also keeping in mind that not everyone stays in New York so people would be going to other cities like New York, LA, Chicago, possibly some secondary markets they have ties to, etc. Of course employment isn't guaranteed and things on your resume can make a difference but I don't think it's necessarily a total death wish to be at the bottom.
