Just checked my HLS email; I never received confirmation of my registration for the ASW. Should I be concerned? Registered at least a couple weeks ago..

I dealt with this yesterday. Exact same situation - I called them and they confirmed I was registered and said they would be sending out confirmations in the next few days. You are fine.

Reading the HYS ding thread* makes me realize how much better Harvard is at making admissions decisions than Yale.

*I try to avoid stepping foot in the actual Yale thread..

Hey triptrip, do you know whom I need to contact in order to reset my HLS ASW username/password? I can't log in and I want to sign up for ASW lol. It doesn't help that nearly every website of theirs has a different userid/pw

My ASW (Or rather the admitted students area) credentials changed when I changed my "master" ID within the HLS Identity Manager site.

Can you log into the manager? If not it says to contact the IT Help Desk, 617.495.9576 or help@law.harvard.edu.

The Harvard login system takes a bit to get used to. However, there are only two passwords you will ever have. Your main HLS login will be name.year in this format for someone named John Smith: jsmith.jd17 (this is probably the login for the ASW website). Your email will be jsmith@jd17.law.harvard.edu. Both of these will have the same password (usually referred to as your email password).

The other login will be your registrar login, which is your HUID (something like 509#####). That is used for course registration, HELIOS, MyHLS/iSites (that's HLS's Blackboard/D2L/course site thing). Your HUID has a different password than your normal HLS login (although you can make them the same if you want; a lot of people do).

If you can't login, your contact will still be the admissions office for now; just shoot them an email. They'll probably tell you the stuff above first, but they'll also be able to work with IT to get it fixed if it's really not working.
