BTW, according to Doodle, the next NYC HH should be this Friday. I won't be able to make it but I just wanted to include this reminder in case anyone still wants to coordinate the where/when for the HH.

I just wanted to remind everyone to apply for the travel stipend. It is need based but the threshold does not appear to be onerous. I qualified with a full-time job, a home, a retirement account, and several thousand dollars in the bank. The form is kind of annoying to fill out but it is worth the chance of saving a few hundred dollars in travel expenses.

Thank you for this. I wasn't going to apply because I was really intimidated by their form. Now to get my parent's tax forms....sasquatchsam wrote:I just wanted to remind everyone to apply for the travel stipend. It is need based but the threshold does not appear to be onerous. So I got a book in the mail from HLS. It's signed by the author with "Welcome to HLS!".

The book was also linked to my interests so I thought that was really cool. HLS admissions knows how to make me want them.

Wait sorry for the ASW stipend, it says it's only for people who got an app fee waiver. Is that the case or no? Am I reading the wrong thing?

You just apply using the same waiver form.ejan1621 wrote:Wait sorry for the ASW stipend, it says it's only for people who got an app fee waiver. Is that the case or no? Am I reading the wrong thing?

You are reading it right. If you didn't apply for the fee waiver you can fill out a fee waiver application to see if you qualify for the subsidy.ejan1621 wrote:Wait sorry for the ASW stipend, it says it's only for people who got an app fee waiver. Ah thanks. I thought the fee waiver was just for undergrads so I never applied. Damnit. Hopefully I'll get some monies to pay for a Bolt bus up to Boston. Or even a train if they're feeling generous.

What's the average grant from H? 25k/yr sounds like it would be so dreamy.

Where are you located? I really want my book . Don't have my mailbox key though, and I don't want to make the long drive to my friend's place to get it if my book hasn't arrived yet.cotiger wrote:Just got a book from Harvard in the mail. Just got my book in the mail. I'm in SoCal. Pretty awesome that they do this, especially with the personal note from JS and from the author.

Damn, USPS always lags on delivering my packages. Guess I'll have to go to the gym as soon as I get out of work and hope it's there when I get back.The-Specs wrote:USPS, sent on the 5th (I'm looking at you Columbia).t-14orbust wrote:What was the shipping service?The-Specs wrote:Just got my book in the mail.
