Pretty sure I saw her at NYU ASW. Unless I'm thinking of Georgetown... too many law school tours.truckstop wrote:She was at UVA, too, so she may have gotten through that interview somehow.lawschool22 wrote:No she was legit. I think she may have had some issues. Not sure how she slipped by admissions actually. Maybe Duke should start interviews. All in all she was the only strange person I met. Everyone else was extremely down to earth, friendly, and not gunnerish or pretentious in any way.Pneumonia wrote:sounds like ya'll are being trolled hard

Think it's worth a 5 hour drive to take a good look at Duke/take a tour etc over the weekend? I missed ASW, but it's my number one choice right now.

If something is your number one choice then definitely. I drove a long way to ASW and survivedKatyMarie wrote:Think it's worth a 5 hour drive to take a good look at Duke/take a tour etc over the weekend? I missed ASW, but it's my number one choice right now.

You're right, I need it fresh in my mind, and that drive isn't too bad (at least from here!). I took a tour when I was in Raleigh last summer and I'm somewhat familiar with Durham, but it'd be nice to see the school with actual students in it haha. Plus I'll probably want to apartment/house hunt.lawschool22 wrote:If something is your number one choice then definitely. Speaking of, is it pretty common for students to rent a 3/4 bedroom house/duplex with other students? I have a dog, and living somewhere with a fenced-in yard would be dope if possible Also having outdoor space since the weather is generally nice would be nice.

Those options are definitely available in Durham. I think it is mainly 2Ls and 3Ls that do it, but that's probably mainly a function of them having a group of people already willing to go in on it. I'm sure if you can find some people to rent with you, you won't have trouble finding a house.KatyMarie wrote:You're right, I need it fresh in my mind, and that drive isn't too bad (at least from here!). Anyone have any knowledge of Trinity's reputation? I liked the place when I visited but apparently the reviews are poor...

Is there a "post marked" status after " scholarship decision mailed"?

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but does Duke have an appeals form, or just email the FinAid office?

This was posted earlier. I just sent an email too and I got a response about a week later.

Just email financial_aid@law.duke.edu. That's what I did, and I got a response from the same address acknowledging my email.mylifeis24 wrote:Sorry if this has been mentioned, but does Duke have an appeals form, or just email the FinAid office?

Question for people who have recently received scholarship letters.
How long was the interval between your status disappearing and the notification that the letter was sent?

It took about a week before they responded to me, so they may get back to you soon.

I know they were fairly busy late last week and over the weekend due to ASW. So I would imagine they will start getting back to people more quickly now that ASW has passed.waddle wrote:Late last week
