FWIW, I got my scholarship offer by e-mail on 3/13, the same day it was listed under 'mailings'. They sent a nice e-mail saying they wanted it to get to me faster than snail mail and attached a scanned version of the letter. I'm international, but Canadian. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Good Guy Duke..

I wish they'd do that for everyone... I am hoping the mail gets in before they close the mail rooms for spring break

UPDATE:

I have package waiting for me in the mailroom, I see it's from Duke, I rip it open, read the letter.... I don't see numbers.... postdated the day before scholarship info was sent out. So hopefully this isn't Duke's way of saying I'm not getting any money. At least I got a nifty Duke T-Shirt.

Moral of the story, keep an eye out for a fluffy package from Duke.

But given that they haven't asked for our sizes (right?), they're probably doing the whole "one size fits most" thing. Which sucks for those of us who aren't "most."

A few people yesterday mentioned that the Current Status disappeared. Did this eventually change to Scholarship mailed? Mine just disappeared today.

That was my experience, disappeared in the morning then under mailings the scholarship sent showed up by the evening.

This is the worst possible way to give out scholarships."Hey, we might be giving you a bunch of money, and we made our decision a few days ago, but you still have to wait a few days for the postal service to deliver it."

Mailed 3/11, still haven't gotten it yet. (Sorry, but i had to vent somewhere.)

When I got it and saw how huge it was I was joking with my girl friend (from texas) about how it was a "southern large", and then it fit me.... She had a field day with that one.

I have the same date for mine. They're probably just putting that date to indicate when it will be mailed out (next business day)

Still no FinAid update, but I, too, received my shirt today! I'll consider it reimbursement for the ~$25 of the app fee that doesn't get waived.
