GPA is below median and LSAT is 171
I also didn't get an email but my aid package was on SIS. If you got your forms in there's a good chance yours is posted.
What is SIS? What forms?
SIS = Student Information System. You should've received an email from Cordel Faulk with log-in instructions very soon after you were admitted.

Forms = FAFSA and Need Access.

Speaking of financial aid packages, 1) very nice letter from Dean Richard clarifying that yes, the scholarship is for all 3 years and the only stip is good academic standing (2.3 GPA), and 2) when I was looking at the totals for scholarships + loans, they exceed the amount posted for the 2013-14 cost of attendance. I'm in-state, but even so, the totals exceed the out-of-state amount by a bit. My suspicion is that the numbers are based on the 2014-15 cost of attending that is supposed to be posted some time in April, but do y'all agree/has anyone asked?

On a side note, I finally booked my hotel for the Open House in a couple weeks- staying at the Cavalier Inn on the main campus. I thought my stay should be appropriately UVA-themed :) Where else is everyone staying?

10K per year. LSAT above 75th, and GPA between 25-50. Very, very dissapointed.

I think out of state tuition is going to be $54,800. At least that is the amount listed for the Dillard Scholarship.

I checked with them on that, and the numbers include origination fees and cost of living adjustments. They have the 2014-2015 COA already, just haven't officially published them yet. PM me or email FinAid for the new COA chart (since its not officially released yet I'm not sure if I can post them publicly).

Same case here. Glad to receive some money, but it's less than I hoped for.

What percentage of the class typically receives merit scholarships/pays sticker?

Also, if I obtain a one year deferment, can I also defer the scholarship?

I got 35k per year. I feel very lucky because I'm above 75th LSAT but below median GPA. I'm definitely looking forward to the admitted students days now!

Does anyone still have inquiry access denied under financial aid? Getting more and more worried...

So just to clarify, everyone from a given state gets the exact same $ travel stipend? As long as I attend and submit the form while I'm at the Open House, I'd get the $250 my state qualifies me for, regardless of my actual costs?

I hope all of you are asking UVA and any other schools you might be considering what they plan to do with their LRAP plans in the proposed changes to PSLF (or something like them) does end up going through. Even those of you with no intention to use an LRAP plan, might end up needing it as a safety net. It should be part of your decision.

I think that's how it works. I think they said they don't need receipts either.

I think this would have been given out in SIS during the initial award granting. If you find out otherwise, let me know! I'm interested! haha

Someone said that's what they had before they got they email saying their award was ready to be viewed, so I think that just means you don't have financial aid info yet.

I emailed them and they said the law school doesn't offer them, but if they did the fafsa and need access would be the only application for it and it would show up on sis. they also said they thought it was only for undergraduate even though the website says differently. oh well. it was worth a try.

Does anyone who received a Dillard have a deadline as to when it has to be accepted? I'm guessing it may be in the official offer letter, but I don't see it in the email or on the SIS system.

so what's the word on who to email to negotiate scholarships? finaid@blahblah, or is there a specific person(s) that would be best?

I'm wondering this as well.

Anyone have any thoughts on the possibility of negotiating up from $30k (total) w/ above 75th LSAT and below 25th GPA?

Dean Richard. The financial aid office doesn't award merit aid, admissions does. You could email whichever director of admissions you dealt with too, but I'm pretty sure they'll just refer it to Dean Richard.

After over a week of "inquiry access denied", my SIS has just updated to reflect scholarship information. So for those who are still waiting, hang in there.
