Sorry, I may be confusing what was in that talk as compared with my direct interactions with the office.SteelPenguin wrote:That's not what was insinuated at all. They said they were going to start sending offers within the next two weeks, and that that for later admits financial aid offers would continue to be released into April. Keep in mind, some people were just accepted today. It's not that they don't value those people, they just have a long list of financial aid offers to process and release, so people that get in later will hear later.linkx13 wrote:Was there. They said they wanted to do it ASAP, especially if you were admitted earlier (they insinuated we were more valuable to them, though I don't know if that is just talk for ASW). However, it's hard for me to see them being able to give awards (which are partly based on who else is in the class) until the end of this month given the deadline.Lavitz wrote:Speaking of financial aid, can anyone who attended ASD confirm what was said about it? I heard a rumor that they said it would take a few more weeks.
Just a chance to ask any personal financial aid questions 1 on 1.Bajam wrote:Didn't get to talk to the financial aid office for a 1 on 1 during ASD, was it anything special?

Glad to hear it, Olive. I hope they show you the money!! Have you any pictures to share? This also extends to anyone else on TLS who visited past weekend. I will vicariously live through pictures until my visit next month.OliveBC wrote:I still won't make up my mind until $ comes out...but I've absolutely loved it here the past two days. Everyone is incredibly nice & the campus is beautiful. I've been impressed by everything I've seen.AAJD2B wrote:Anyone sold on Cornell thus far?
I asked for confirmation of receipt when I sent it by email. They emailed me back to confirm receipt.OliveBC wrote:I will get pics up soon!
BTW did you all receive any confirmation when you submitted your financial aid stuff? I never did and since the deadline is tomorrow I'm kind of nervous they may not have received it... I sent everything to the financial aid email address.
FWIW, I did not receive one. I should probably do what AAJD did, though...OliveBC wrote:I will get pics up soon!

Wow! The library looks so stately with lots of history. It reminds me of Cambridge/Oxford.
most of those pictures are not the cornell law library, btw. i think they're from "uris" library which is a 5 min walk from the school.AAJD2B wrote:Wow! The library looks so stately with lots of history. It reminds me of Cambridge/Oxford.

Yeah that's Uris. More specifically it's the A.D. White Library within Uris. The useful thing about Uris proper is that it's open 24 hours a day during the week in case you feel the need to pull an all-nighter and/or are nocturnal.toothbrush wrote:most of those pictures are not the cornell law library, btw. i think they're from "uris" library which is a 5 min walk from the school.AAJD2B wrote:Wow!
