I was invited to apply and am still waiting. Keeping my fingers crossed I get something.
Same. Although I don't remember writing any essay so I feel like that will probably hurt me.
I think maybe the term "essay" is what's worrying people here. The email I received asked me to be honest about where Gtown fit into my overall consideration of schools, how much money I would need to consider any offer from Gtown, and what I would be up to 1 year after graduating from GULC if the alumni office reached out to me. I wrote 2 short paragraphs in response to these questions.

 Whoops. Didn't mean to psyche anyone out. I think I wrote a few paragraphs, but I always write more than I should. No worries, folks. I'm sure they didn't care either way.

I was invited but haven't gotten an email yet... I might have also been too honest in my response to the invite

I was pretty honest in my response, and got 25k per! Not enough without some added need-based aid, but a good starting point imo.

Confused about the language in my scholarship email, it says that if I qualify for a need-based grant that is more than my merit-based award, I will receive the higher need-based scholarship instead. So you don't get both, in the event that your need-based award is more. I'm assuming if my need-based award is lower than my merit-based one, I can keep both?

Not sure. That's kind of strange. It's like they're penalizing the people who have the most financial need.

Happy with my offer, but unhappy with that April 4 deadline. Surprised no one in this thread has commented on that yet.

Anyone with a below-median LSAT get an offer?

Anyone have any sense of what schools you can use for bargaining with GLUC if out of the T14? Would they accept GW, Vandy, etc. if those amounts were half tuition+ quality?

This is making me a little nervous, I have to admit. I got the email asking me for the two paragraphs, so I figured I'd be getting something.

I read that as they would add the two together -- as in "You might even qualify for a bigger aid package once we add together your merit and need-based awards!"

Did that just come in? Are they still rolling in after business hours, I wonder?

Offered 20k/yr... Seems to be the lowest posted so far.

Nothing higher than 25k either. Maybe the larger packages come later?

Edit:

Wondering the same thing. I was offered 75% by a school in T25 with much lower COL; is it worth bringing up?

Me too but I feel like they would tell us if we straight up got nothing.

$30K/year, which is the same as my offer from a slightly higher-ranked school. Got some thinking to do. That April 4 deadline is stressful, though.

That is now what I got from the wording:

"Please note that if you qualify through the Office of Financial Aid for a need-based grant of more than $xxxxx, you will receive that higher amount instead."

That makes it seem like they do NOT add the two together, but simply take the higher of the two.

Has anyone so far received a merit offer who didn't get the first email inviting you to apply for the award money? (Paging LS22?)

Anyone know when PILS decisions usually come out, and how much that award is for?
