Taking BigLaw Leave of Absence for ALJ Clerkship

Postby Anonymous User » Tue Apr 17, 2018 9:39 pm

I'm a jr. associate in biglaw and thinking of leaving to do a clerkship for a year. The clerkship would be with an ALJ, and the subject matter is directly related to what I (and my practice group) does. What do people think about this - good or bad idea? Do you think the firm would be supportive? I know it's not an Article III clerkship, so I wonder if I should even do it at all.

Any feedback appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry I don't have an answer to your question, but I'm wondering how you found out about/applied for an ALJ clerkship? I haven't been able to find info in the usual places and they don't seem to get posted on oscar.
