I'll be clerking in a patent-heavy district court until Sept. 2016. When should I start sending in applications to Fed Cir judges? Early 2015? A lot of them don't post openings on OSCAR.

I don't think it matters when you send the apps. From what I hear, clerking in the Fed. Cir. is a lot about who you already know in the court and some of the judges hire many years in advance.
