Current COFC clerk.
COFC clerks' credentials are all over the place. Generally, it's like anywhere else (Ivy/LR types), but there are plenty who hire from lower ranked schools. A few judges seem to prefer top of the class from lower ranked schools and a few seem to strongly prefer former interns who unsurprisingly went to the local schools.
