Missing too much work for interviews?

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Jul 05, 2013 8:49 am

Is anyone else feeling like they're going to have to miss a significant number of days in a 10-week SA to interview for clerkships?

The firm claims to be very flexible about everything but I don't want to clerkship-search my way into a no-offer. Any advice for handling this? Firm historically has 100% offer rates, but I've heard of cold offers.

How many days do you realistically expect to miss? If the number is more than three or four, it may be worth asking if you can spend an extra week at the firm.

I missed 3 days last summer and nobody cared. Just make sure you give recruiting and all of the lawyers you are working with a heads up. I offered to do some work on the road as well. Everyone told me not to worry about and just focus on the interviews.
