Things are still moving. I had N.D. Cal. and N.D. Ill. calls within the the last week.

As some have suggested, this new plan seems to have a fair number of judges who move quickly (as in the past), and several who are burning slowly.

Got 2 SDMS interview requests after the release of Plan apps. One today, one a couple weeks ago. Turned both down because I already accepted with another judge.

well. fuck my life. D.Mass judge withdrew the interview request after I let him know I'm working abroad and can't do it in person.

this was my only interview request.

and before anyone yells at me for being abroad during clerkship season, when i took this fellowship, the plan date was aug 19. when i will be back in the states.

That is the worst. Any chance you can try to get back in the judge's graces? Maybe offer to fly out? Or is it pretty much too late?

Your grades and school are obviously good. Keep hustling. I got a lot of interviews after the frenzy of calls myself last year. And I had worse grades and a worse school than you.

i would think about flying out, but my parents are coming from the US to visit me that very same week. so it wouldn't just be the $700 flight for me, it would be the loss of my parents tickets/reservations/etc. he made it very clear he is doing his hiring next week.
