I read this thread once a month just to remind myself why I'm not taking T14 at sticker.. and to reinforce my resolve to drop out if I don't make median in 1L

Is this because you dislike law or because you feel your grades 1st semester ruined your chances at getting a good job?

I just dislike everything law school related

Depends on how much I'm paying, IMO. I'd sooner drop out of somewhere I'm paying sticker to attend than if I'm on a full ride.

Probably, though:
Sticker - bottom third
Substantial scholly - bottom 10%

Based on posts by preftigious knowledgeable posters like rayiner, Brucewayne etc, median isnt the meaningful cutoff at a non-HYS T14. Outside the top third, unless you have shit grades then everyone's in the same boat (especially since with many of the grading systems, a lot of people are clustered around or near median). At that point you'll have to rely on intangibles like work experience, interviewing skills, fit, looks, and possibly minority status. Then you can calculate your chances of landing a 2L SA and figure out if its worth it to take out more loans. Hopefully we'll have more employment statistics reflecting the current market as the NLJ/ABA numbers come and OCI results for last summer start leaking.

But we all have plenty of time to contemplate these tough questions :D
