There's a facebook group.
And apparently they're already accepting applications for Hughes. I'm undecided between Hughes and renting an apartment downtown, so I think I'll wait until ASD to see if I can find any chill prospective roommates.

oh shit Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever
I never saw that although after I read that it was objectively the worst movie of all time, it's been on my list.

You mean other than Hughes (which is only for 1Ls)? There are some other grad sudent complexes listed here, but I don't think too many law students live there. You can check them out for yourself though.helix23 wrote:ugh I haven't even started to think about housing in Ithaca. this is really helpful.

Might also be useful when looking for places to live if you really don't want to have to walk or use a car: bus map.

Cornell has always placed pretty well into biglaw though. I think they were like #2 NLJ250 2 years ago.

Re: Cornell Class of 2016
They were. But their placement took a big hit in 2011, so it's nice to see that c/o 2012 was an improvement.Crowing wrote:Cornell has always placed pretty well into biglaw though. I think they were like #2 NLJ250 2 years ago.
Previous 5 years
Also, since Paul Weiss wasn't included this year, I think Cornell's real percentage should be at least 1% higher. We know from the ATL data leak 2 years ago that 6 people in the c/o 2010 got SAs with them, and 2 from c/o 2011. So if at least 2 people from c/o 2012 got SAs (and weren't no-offered), that's another 1% right there.
So that's 45%, up from 38% last year. Again, not bad.

I think Misto's referring to banjo's post in that thread, which links to this post (LinkRemoved) in another thread (be sure to read the rest of the page for context).BigZuck wrote:Many? Source?iMisto wrote:Plus, many NYC firms didn't report their numbers. ^
My main takeaway is that while Paul Weiss is the only NLJ250 firm which hires Cornell grads and isn't included this year, the NLJ250 itself doesn't include all NYC biglaw firms and so the number of people actually getting biglaw from Cornell should be higher than whatever the NLJ250 percentage is. This pretty much applies to all schools in all years though, but Banjo's data does show that New York schools seem to have a bigger jump in biglaw % when you use firms with 101+ lawyers as the standard rather than the NLJ250.
