At the Day in the Life program today, they said that financial aid/award emails for the January wave of admits will go out by the end of this week. For the February admits, it will be by the end of next week.

I was trying to find my letter from last year giving me a whopping zero aid last year so that I could copy and paste the exact language of your almost certain result in a witty reply. Alas I can't find it though

Congrats! You give me hope that I'll also get something, even with my below median LSAT.

10K/year for a January admit. Better than I was expecting, getting excited for Chicago.

Meh.... I don't think it was my numbers that they based the amount on. (I am below their 75th for GPA and below their 25th for LSAT, so maybe softs actually do count for something...) I'm pretty sure you can milk some more out of them with a 172 and a GPA that is above their 25th.
Also, congrats on that money banjo.I'm still not convinced that New York is $10,000/year more expensive to live in than Chicago, but then again I guess that it depends on how frugally you live.
Congrats to you too kappycaft1! You've been reading these forums long enough to know that 30k for an ED applicant is outstanding. I think it was your Japanese thing. That's really pretty cool in general, and I imagine it will help you get a firm job too.
Yeah you're probably right that 10k is a bit on the high side. 75ish from both would have made for an easier decision...

Got a lil something something. It is, however, very sad how even seemingly substantial scholarships barely make a dent in the monthly repayments
