Does anyone have any recommendations about finding a house in DC other than craigslist? We're looking for a 3 br which is a bit harder to find so I want to explore all I can.

Use padmapper. Its still craigslist but it makes it much easier to manipulate.

I'd go the realtor route if you're not getting much luck with padmapper. Rent.com might be useful too

According to FB group, there was computer glitch which caused 1 week delay. Also, someone posted the housing people said they were starting to send out assignments today.

We may do that if we don't find somewhere a week or two into July! I think our biggest problem now is everywhere is available 7/1. I'm looking too soon, I know, but I just love apartment shopping .

My other 2 roommates are in DC, so I am the only one shopping from afar, thankfully!! We may be interested in getting a 4 bedroom if we find another roommate. If anyone may be interested in living with 3 20-something females let me know! We are looking in Bloomingdale/H St/U St, have a medium sized dog, and they are in DC working now!

Haha, as a guy, I think that would be a potential recipe for disaster. That said, good neighborhoods to look at. I'm finding the same thing with padmapper, but it's starting to open up now. The coming couple of weeks should find you something!

Even better, it is my roommate's dog, so I get to play with her and am not responsible for her unless I want to be . I'll be happy to share my role as puppy-Aunt. She is seriously my favorite dog ever.
