So Lucky Bar, tomorrow. What time? Like 4:30 or 5:00? The Front Page get together starts at 6:00.

So if you're an idiot like me and have somehow managed to lock yourself out of the system any idea how long it takes to get back in after you've e-mailed the help@ address?CourCour wrote:When I log on to courseware I have a link to my small section professor! Anyone else have this?
EDIT: If it happens to anyone else the answer is 2 hours. Was it just there when you logged in? All I can do is select courses to add and view public areas.

I was enrolled in a course for my small section. Could be a mistake or just this particular professor enrolled his students.
See y'all in an hour and a half.

Re: Georgetown 2016
Hi! Anyone here still looking for housing close to campus next year? I'm a rising 2L at GULC. My current roommates & I are moving out of our apartment this weekend, and we're trying to help our old building managers find new tenants ASAP.
The apartment is a 2 bedroom + sunroom with 2 full baths at the Meridian (450 Mass Ave. NW). It's about a 5-10 minute walk from campus, and it is incredibly convenient for a group of 2-3 GULC students. The building is located in a safe & busy area, and it also offers some great amenities including a rooftop pool, 24-hour fitness room, etc. Rent is $3,220 for a one-year lease; month-to-month is also an option at an elevated rate. Available Sept 1.
Please message me ASAP if interested! My roommates & I will be around all this week to show the apartment and help you take care of the paperwork with the office. Thanks so much

I just graduated GULC and I have some books that might be of interest to incoming 1Ls. I live close to the law center, and will give these away to whoever ask for them and can pick them up. PM me if you're interested, as I won't be keeping up on this thread for replies.

You have to register for Westlaw first - if you didn't get creds from the vendor fair, I think you can get them from the libraryaccount1 wrote:Can someone tell me exactly how do u register for twen and recieve the credentials (username/pass) to log in? thx

Anyone know where to find old exams for Mezey (CivPro) and Edelman (ConLaw)?

Mezey taught the section 3 version last year, so Civ Pro was called Legal Process then. Look at both fall and spring because it was a yearlong class that will probably be collapsed to a single semester for other sections.

Hey Georgetowners,
Does anyone have access to an outline bank that has an outline for Anna Gelpern's Contracts class? She's a visiting prof at Harvard this year so we don't have any outlines for her. I would be forever grateful!

If you're class of 2016 and you haven't moved to DC yet, you've seriously been doing law school ten kinds of wrong (unless you missed class to go to, I don't know, Harvard).justgottabezen wrote:Does anyone have suggestions on housing in DC? What areas are safe to live in?
In all seriousness - DC is a much safer city than people give it credit for. It was pretty safe all over when I first moved here in 2003 for undergrad, it's gotten even more gentrified (read: white and unaffordable) pretty much everywhere.
If cost is no object, live right near the law school. There are great apartments a couple blocks away in between Judiciary Square and Gallery Place, and the area is convenient to a lot DC offers. If cost is a big issue, move all the way out the red line to Twinbrook or Shady Grove, or out the Orange line to Falls Church or so - you get an hour commute into school, but more living space for your dollar. If you want to balance cost with convenience - Takoma Park, Silver Spring, and Grosvenor on the red line are great areas: generally a 15ish minute commute for the first two (35ish for Grosvenor), lots to do in terms of food, shopping, and some night life for Takoma/Silver Spring.
I've lived around DC for 11 years now, and went from single undergrad all the way to married homeowner. That being said, I've only lived in the following areas (so others might be able to contribute in areas I don't know about): Shady Grove, Twinbrook, Silver Spring, Takoma Park, Tenleytown, Falls Church.

Re: Georgetown 2016
I had evidence with Tanina Rostain - she knows her stuff and the class is run well but Evidence is Evidence is Evidence - I think you'll be fine wherever. I hear great things about Tague.justgottabezen wrote:Also does anyone have advice on classes and professors?

As for White Collar Crime with O'Sullivan - Ten thousand times yes. Julie O'Sullivan is an experience you do not want to miss out on - I had her for Criminal Justice and am signed up for White Collar Crime this fall. She did White Collar both on the prosecutor and defense side, so I'm betting it'll be even better than Crim Justice.
