I have yet to attend a booze-free event in Austin, so I wouldn't fret. Then again, maybe it's BYOB (something this city has an affinity for).StylinNProfilin wrote:I see no mention of alcohol at this event and this concerns me. Drunk volleyball would be entertaining

That's true the state of Texas doesn't believe in booze-free events

I would presume that the assumption on the part of most LS is that we are all of age, correct?

I was just thinking that. I guess there could be a few KJDS that graduate early and are 20. Couldn't be more than a handful of those

They must be handled with extreme prejudice.

The only UT Law events that I've been to that didn't involve drinking were class* and finals.StylinNProfilin wrote:I see no mention of alcohol at this event and this concerns me. Drunk volleyball would be entertaining

That's crazy! as someone who has been a year-ish younger than a lot of my peers (late birthday) I can't imagine going to LS without being able to legally drown my sorrows.BigZuck wrote:One of TLSers who will be attending UT is 20.StylinNProfilin wrote:I was just thinking that. I had 2 20 year-olds in my 1L section (not UT). The older one didn't turn 21 until April; the younger not until after finals.BigZuck wrote:One of TLSers who will be attending UT is 20.StylinNProfilin wrote:I was just thinking that. I remember being 20. The economy was great. UT football was dominant. I feel old now.

They did serve booze there, and I was pretty well in the bag before, during, and especially after.
The best name was probably Dill Dozer or maybe Abbey Roadkill.
There are a few different leagues in the city, from what I understand; I went to a TXRD (Texas Roller Derby) event, which I think is the oldest league, the one featured in 'Whip It' and the one that uses the banked track, which I have been told is superior. Also, there was a food truck event outside on the water and so I got a full view of downtown while stuffing my face with a veitnamese-themed hot dog. 180s all around.

More like I'm acting like a gunner because I'm deliberately withholding useful information to gain an advantage.BigZuck wrote:Just so we are clear: are you a gunner if you read GTM or only if you tell other people to read it as well?romanticegotist wrote:No shit.
