I was approved last Thursday but I think that was just a result of me emailing them. Still no assignment.angross wrote:Still nothing for me as wellBob-Loblaw 1 wrote:Does anybody else STILL not have a housing assignment/approval?

Alright cool, thanks. It's good to know I'm not the only one. I was beginning to fear that I would end up being forgotten and eventually assigned a box to sleep in on the steps of the law school.ph5354a wrote:I was approved last Thursday but I think that was just a result of me emailing them. Yeah, it's good to know that list is updated. I submitted a few weeks ago too so I suppose there's some lag time.joiedevivre18 wrote:Thanks, that's helpful! I requested a dean's cert from my undergrad school last month.. I wonder if they've received it as it's still on my checklist.ph5354a wrote:If you log into the admitted students website (like the one we used before law net) there's a checklist where you can see if they've processed all those materials. I think it takes a few days to update though, but that's been working for me so far.joiedevivre18 wrote:+1 to this question. I submitted a bunch of documents a few weeks ago (Dean's Cert, final transcript, immunization) but no confirmation.kakistocracy wrote:For paperwork like loan stuff (MPN, loan sheet, etc.) and the immunization record - does Columbia give you confirmation that they've received the materials? Or is there some way to check receipt?
There's also a checklist here where you can check whether they've received your immunization stuff. I don't know if it's just me, but I didn't even know this site existed until today. https://ssol.columbia.edu
Aaand if you call the financial aid office, they'll verify whether they've gotten everything from you re: grants/loans paperwork.

Was in contact with Juliana today. She said approvals should be sent out by tomorrow, and assignments shortly thereafter - at the latest by this week.

I hope we don't get the runts of the housing litter because we're the last to be assigned!kakistocracy wrote:Was in contact with Juliana today. She said approvals should be sent out by tomorrow, and assignments shortly thereafter - at the latest by this week.

Just got approved!!! Though, from what I have been reading on this forum, that may just be another meaningless confirmation and my actual assignment may still be weeks away.

It's not uncommon for the vaccine to lose its efficacy though, so some people get a booster shot after five years. I think it'd be a good idea to talk with your doctor to see if you need a second dose. (Particularly true for gay guys.)KingFish wrote:I had to get one before undergrad, maybe you did too. It's good for a long time.jubee wrote:random but i can't remember at all if i've ever gotten a meningitis vaccine, i feel like I have but don't know, is it weird not to get one? have most people? or do you have to get vaccinated every few years?

i'm in a 01. it's 320 sq. ft. if i'm remembering correctly, about 80% of the units in lenfest are 320 sq ft. the larger ones are the one bedrooms reserved for couples and those on the garden level, which i believe are about 50 sq. ft. larger.

I have no clue what the size of my unit is, I just know it looks tiny... like a hotel room. It's fine by me, less surfaces to clean?djwjddl wrote:i'm in a 01. it's 320 sq. ft. if i'm remembering correctly, about 80% of the units in lenfest are 320 sq ft. the larger ones are the one bedrooms reserved for couples and those on the garden level, which i believe are about 50 sq. ft. larger.

Well, rest assured (or not) that your apt will be no less than 320 sq ft. If you're paying under 2k/month, chances are very very high that you have a 320 sized room.Aussiebum wrote:I have no clue what the size of my unit is, I just know it looks tiny... like a hotel room.
