Booking my flight today! I think I remember reading they had us stay with 1Ls/other students during ASW. is this true? Should I book a hotel? What to do...

Also writing my supplemental essay/a plea to berkeley for need aid, and then submitting a matching essay and my matching offer this weekend hopefully.

I realize this thread has been inactive for a while, but do you people that are going to ASW in April know if, in order to have your flight comped, you need to fly into SF or Oakland?

Where were you thinking of flying into? LA and driving up or something?

It says you do have to fly into the Bay Area, which also includes San Jose (although it's a bit far and not connected by BART).

When would be the best time to do the scholarship essays (matching and others)?
If I submit them near the end of February/early March, would I be at a disadvantage?
I can't find the time to write those essays so I'm kind of stressing out..:(

Sacramento. My parents live around there so I wanted to get a car and drive over. I'm thinking I'll just email them to confirm this is alright before I buy the ticket.

Ok thanks for this. I definitely want to be reimbursed for my flight.

Aaaand here I am. Congrats to everyone! Dream school+chances of getting in were slim, so it's kinda surreal.

Creeped around the campus yesterday, and that was rad. Heard a homeless gentleman screaming the chorus of "Drops of Jupiter" near the campus. Also pretty rad.

Wishing I could say I'm proud to be joining this group, but it's looking more and more like the military is going to keep their claws in me a little longer. Congrats to everyone attending and hopefully I can be an honorary member in spirit if what seems like the inevitable happens!

I'm sorry, but based on the participation rate for this thread, Berkeley is on pace to have the smallest entering class size in school history. Where is everybody lol?

I was thinking that yesterday! Is there a big FR wave of admits coming or are people assuming Berkeley will be stingy as usual and no one is willing to pay sticker now?

Or it's possible all our classmates aren't aware of TLS?

Really?? Hope this is true! I have some Boalt buddies and they've suggested otherwise, but anecdotal evidence is anecdotal.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
