Tornado warning? What have I gotten myself into?!?!

Edit: The Pavilion workers better not let something stupid like a "Tornado" slow them down.

I missed the whole section conversation from before...pretty sure they'll do GPA/LSAT to equalize in some manner. That being said they said on the site from the email that section assignments are random.

Wha? They do that? I'd think it'd be random.

Don't worry, it is random. Admissions/student records randomly assigns the sections and only changes it to make sure there are no sections that are completely homogenous (ex: all male). There's no GPA or LSAT connection.

Honestly I'd feel a lot better if they did it not random.

Hey, I was just admitted earlier today as a transfer student and am looking for housing.

I'm 24, male, don't have any animals but would love living with some, and into golf / goin out on the weekends.

Send me a PM if anyone has an extra room they'd like to rent or would want to talk more about finding a place. My budget's probably around $800/ mo before utilities.

Thanks.

FYI for anyone who has to set up a gas connection for their apartment through the City of Charlottesville:

You can get the $250 deposit requirement for new customers waived by sending a copy of your credit report to them.

On the website it says they'll only accept some kind of LOR from a past utility company, but I've always just reimbursed my roommate so I haven't had my name on a utility account. That also sounded like a pain. I asked if they'd take anything else, and the lady said they'd consider a credit report. So that's what I did, and it took about 10 minutes. Now I have an extra $250 to put towards a ridiculously expensive U-Haul. Here's how:
  • 1. Apply for gas service on the City's website. After the service request is processed, they'll send you a confirmation e-mail.
    2. Hit up the Fed endorsed annualcreditreport.com (LinkRemoved) and put your info in. I picked the Equifax report. When it brings up your report, there should be a save/print as PDF button at the top. Do that.
    3. Reply to the confirmation e-mail and say something about how you heard they'd consider credit reports when deciding whether to waive the deposit. Attach the PDF and wait to hear what they say. Didn't take too long for me. And for the record, my credit was somewhere in the "Good" range (read: not "Excellent") and it still went through. I don't know where the cutoff is, though, where they'll start saying no.
    4. Spend the $250 you get to keep on booze/moving costs.

So this health form thing. Does this mean I have to go to the Dr? Or if I had all my immunizations and TB screening for college am I good?

I went to my UG's health center and gave them the form. They wouldn't fill the form out, but they printed out a copy of the immunization record I gave them when I enrolled there. I called UVA and they said that'd be fine.

I'm glad that worked because yeah, I think the only other option is shelling out for a doctor's appointment.

Awesome, thanks for this. And your UG had the paperwork for the TB too and not just the shots? Because it looked like the TB test needed to be done after some 2013 date.

It's due by Aug 31, after school starts, so I wonder.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
