Re: Arkansas-Fayetteville Class of 2015
I'm strongly considering going here. I got accepted a few weeks ago, but I am still waiting to see where all I get accepted before I decide. I am going to tour the law school in two weeks though.

I'm in this same boat. Arkansas was the first school I heard from and am still waiting on some other schools. Regardless of how they respond it's hard to pass up the relatively low tuition here.mleighb12 wrote:I'm strongly considering going here. I am gonna call the hogs too. Had opportunity to go bankrupt by paying Syracuse tuition which was over 60k. Also could have gone to WVU but just found out the hogs are calling. I will follow in my dad's footsteps and go to the U of A. Can't beat the price and a great college campus life. Who else wants to get their name on senior walk? Already will have a guaranteed job back in the northeast. At least my life will not be mortgaged forever. Woo Pig Soooie.

So are you going to U of A? Did you find where is a good place to live? I am gonna visit in April.bmili wrote:Saw the names on the walk this past weekend, apparently enough space until 2050. Kind of a cool tradition.

Yes, I will be there. Have not yet, need to hammer down wife's employment situation before we seriously look for a house to rent. Visited this past weekend and was really impressed with Fayetteville/campus/law building. Hopefully be moving up there in June so I can establish residency by 2nd semester.tward wrote:So are you going to U of A? Did you find where is a good place to live? I am going to visit in April and look for an apt so that I can establish in state residency for next year and possibly second semester too. The in state tuition rate is unbelievably reasonable. I can graduate with little or no debt and since my dad went there, I know it is a great place to get a law degree. I am stoked.bmili wrote:Yes, I will be there. Are any of you from out of state? I can't decide if I want to attend an OOS school or stay in Alabama at Cumberland, since I plan to live and practice in Alabama after graduation.

So far, no scholarship offer at Cumberland. It's about $40,000 a year. Cost is really the only thing keeping me from sending in my seat deposit money now. I can't imagine having to pay back all of those loans.

Re: Arkansas-Fayetteville Class of 2015
Trust me, I have definitely been thinking about costs. However, I think being able to find a job after graduation is more important, and it would be hard to go to school in Arkansas and then come back to Alabama looking for a job.

I am coming down to Fayetteville on April 12-15 to find a furnished apt. Any ideas? I will be calling the Hogs in August too.Ginj wrote:Currently living in Fayetteville if anyone has any questions.

Both are within walking distance of the law school. Lafayette Gregg Apartments (second link) are super swanky and surprisingly affordable. Not sure if any have furnished units, though.

Wow the Kelly property apts are really nice. Does anyone need a roomate? If so I will rent a 2 br and we can split the expenses down the middle. We can get an awsome place for about $400 per month within walking distance to the law school. I am a 22 year old male from NJ. If interested post here and I will contact you. I am going to Fayetteville on April 13th and will sign a lease somewhere. But this is the nicest place I have seen.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
