Starting around here they get on the topic of the curve and Harmarket (towards the bottom of this page) starts to go off on 0Ls. Very entertaining.

ETA: After that there are a few pages of gunnerisms and more hilarity.

Woooow. People at CLS (and NYU for that matter) are so much more chill. Chicago seems like it's filled with the most insufferable douches.

Srsly. Plus, NY blows Chicago out of the water as a city.

Hah, I can have a pretty short temper at times (you probably wouldn't know it if you met me since I'm generally very laid back) so I can kind of understand going off on a bunch of annoying 0Ls, especially if I was a 1L nearing spring finals. That said, there's something very off putting about yelling at people anonymously over the internet.

FWIW all the CLS admits and current students I spoke to when I visited were very cool. Puts to lie the 'douche' label that other schools try to hang on y'all. Either that or I'm a douche myself so I didn't notice...

No problem. Hope finals are treating you well!

Any whiskey drinkers out there? I managed to find a bottle of Van Winkle 12 year a couple days ago after scouring like 10 liquor stores in my area. Had a glass and it's one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted (I had a glass of the 23 year a while back and I'm pretty sure that's what God drinks). I've locked the rest of it away for now, but I'd be happy to share a little if you'll be my friends and let me use all your notes

Migrating from the old thread.
Bronck wrote: I think I'm going to go w/ their budget and subtract 2k from Grad PLUS loans because I'll still be under my parents' health insurance plan. Yes, I doubt I'll use up all the money but I can then use this as data for planning my 2L and 3L budget.
So it's official? We can knock off 2k if we're already insured?

Chicago thread cracked me up.

I haven't done it yet (and still no response from CLS financial aid) (I'll send it off this Friday/next Monday). But my 1L friend at NYU did it, and he said it worked out fine. So I'm assuming it's fine.

I can't see it being a problem.

I did the unthinkable and checked the booklet which says "may be waived with proof of comparable coverage." But I have no idea what CLS insurance covers.

As long as it is some kind of health insurance, I'm sure it's fine.

Yeah, all I really care about is emergency hospitalization. I haven't been to the doctor in something like 5 years.

LOL, not sure. TLS + FB group seem to be working pretty well. The classifieds seem cool, though.

CBT Training: You are required to complete a computer-based training session and pass a brief online exam before using the Law School’s computing resources. You are strongly encouraged to complete the training before Monday, August 6, 2012. The training will familiarize you with the various resources unique to the Law School Network.
