I doubt they would unfurnish an apartment for you. I assume you would have to try the transfer apt request.

I kind of want a drafting table as my desk. Kind of appeals to me.

BTW has anyone looked at the Immunization form stuff yet? --LinkRemoved--

Do we have to take it to some random physician ?

Your family doctor should have your immunization history.

Thing is... I moved to a new state recently and my family doctor retired last year.

Ugh I hate dealing with those forms. I grew up in the military so we moved so often I couldn't track mine down for college. I'd suggest starting the process to find them ASAP. Your undergrad probably still has a copy.

If not--worst case scenario-you can get bloodwork done and they'll tell you all the ones you've had.

That's tough... did he/she work in an office with a couple other physicians? If so, the office should still have the record. Otherwise maybe the state you used to live in had a record?

I'm not so sure. A room in my apartment was empty, a new guy wanted to move in and needed furniture, and they just hauled in some dorm furniture for him. Then he moved out and they removed it.

I HIGHLY suggest getting unfurnished. The furniture they give is trash and for the difference you pay, you can go to IKEA or use the furniture exchange with graduating students.

I would think that if you stay, you could make a case to get them to remove it. But don't worry, it's probably also convenient to not worry about that stuff right when you move in. Also, seems that a lot of people find a good crew to live with and move for 2L year anyway.
Protip: UAH is nice, but very bureaucratic. Once you arrive, direct all housing issues to the law school housing liaison in Big Warren Hall. She is a wizard.

How essential is the CLS EIP practice interview program? I have some prior overseas commitments scheduled and am undecided as to whether I should cancel my plans to get to NYC in time. I have had experience interviewing with law firms in London but never with NYC-based firms. Anyone know if the experience is substantially different?

Would really appreciate any advice, thanks.

Got my housing assignment today. Its my 2nd choice, so I'm happy. Its furnished though, so my dreams of being my own interior designer are dashed before they even started

Ouch, yeah it looks like Orientation day --that is rough.

Decided to go with Furnished to avoid the hassle of running around to find furniture. I'm assuming I'll move out next year and can deal with real furniture then.

Still need to do loan forms :x

Hmm I would guess this one is correct since the "Dates to Remember" bookmark (I just got mine like 2 days ago) says the 13th was tentative.

I'm not really sure actually. This calendar is from the website, but the pdf version at the bottom of the page says it is from Feb 14.

Either orientation is in the beginning of the week and then classes after that or at the end of the week with classes starting on the monday

ETA: the admitted stduents website has it on the 16-17

You got a studio in lenfest? Isn't that like the most expensive option :? ? Yeah, 16-17 for orientation.... though the 13th is kind of late, I'd rather get there a few days earlier.

Just talked to the folks at Health Services, and they said we can submit an official copy of our immunization history in lieu of having our doctor fill out the MMR form
