I had one of those. had the basic mattress and was miserable. Upgraded mattress- bliss.
noted. Did you get the bliss mattress from Ikea as well, or elsewhere?
From Ikea. On second look, I had a slightly different one- this one seems have the mattress built in. the one I had, you had options for the sofa seats/mattress part. /useless
Haha. Thanks anyway! I figure i won't get too attached to one until I can get to a store and try things out-- there's no Ikea in rural Texas :-/

My larger furniture I'll be storing in Dad's garage, not selling (most of it).
I know Samara and I were thinking of zipcar-ing a big truck and then doing a group Ikea/Costco run at some point (btw, I think we should do group costco runs ALL THE TIME. Just get a big car and someone with a membership and buy some cheap bulk shit :D ) if you end up deciding to buy furniture in IL instead of OR.

I CANNOT WAIT. I love going to IKEA. LOVE.

I've got the Costco card! :P

I might save some Ikea purchases for IL (after I've put some furniture in my place and seen what else is needed), so I would definitely be up for a group Ikea trip.

+1 most memberships come with 2 cards, right? I'd be down for splitting a membership with someone!

They do...not sure what the requirements are for being on the same membership (same household?). I've had my dad's second card since my mom died 10 years ago.

Let's make this happen. We can be long lost sisters or lesbian lovers if that's what it takes.

This reminds me of the time that me, my Asian roommate, and my white girlfriend went to the museum on a family pass. Two of us held hands and said the third was adopted.

I heard about that on the radio actually.

Also, I'm down for group Costco trips. Probably not looking to get much at Ikea though, I've already got the majority of my furniture picked out.

yeah, kind of a pain in the ass, but they can do whatever they want because people will shop there anyway. Anyway, I think when you shop at Costco it feels like you're saving more than you actually are... It doesn't work out for me either way because buying in bulk (food-wise) just means I eat a shit ton more than I usually would while it lasts.

Is it a Costco AMEX? & I think you have to pay the balance in full by the end of the month...? Not sure

Ya, the costco amex is a charge card, not a credit card.

They give you pretty good CashBack though.

Bahaha. Ikea. So there was a 30 Rock episode where Liz Lemon and her boyfriend went to Ikea and they had a terrible time. I gotta admit I'm not sure I like Ikea. Because everything I buy from there is cheap but crappy. The other day I bought a shark ice cube tray (so I can drink beverages with sharks swimming in them) and I thought it was awesome until I brought it home. I guess I am drinking beverages with deformed sharks swimming in them? Sad.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
