Uh... it's even worse when you hate your job and can't wait for it to be over.

+1 that's why I'm taking the summer off. Still, summer feels soooo far away

This is probably a dumb question, but if I want to withdraw my applications from other schools do I just send an email to admissions or is there something else I have to do?

Email is fine. They should send a confirmation email thanking you for notifying them, etc.

It's possible they just ignore you and process your application anyway (happened to me this cycle at two schools) so maybe snail mail/fax? I dunno. I thought I had the answer when I started typing but realized maybe I don't. Already typed this much so don't feel like deleting it. Ugh, Monday.

tl;dr email will work for a majority of schools.

Send an e-mail to the admissions office. That's it.

Be warned, Harvard makes you snail mail them a letter withdrawing. As if it wasn't enough to spend $101 to apply, I also had to spend 45 cents (is that how much stamps cost?) to mail the letter about a mile down the street. Not bitter or anything!

Oh... well I didn't apply to Harvard so I didn't have to withdraw from there. Any of the other schools that I withdrew from, if they have some catchy requirement like that can just accept my withdrawal when I don't deposit by the deadline then.

I'm assuming you probably had to bother because you ED'd somewhere and had to withdraw?

Is anyone renting a car for ASW or is a shuttle the way to go from the airport? I'm not even sure if they have parking at the place they reserved rooms for us...

FWIW IU-B and Cornell were the two schools that ignored my email withdraw. You might have to snail-mail for those schools as well.

I'm renting a car for 2nd ASW. Let me know if you need a ride from the airport if you are flying in on the 27th.

The reserved hotels do have free parking, but the school does not have any spaces reserved for us and told me that I'd need to contact the parking department to get a pass to park on campus.

Don't get a permit. Parking is metered...you can just pay if you need to drive somewhere. The hotels are all walking distance to the LS and you can park at the hotels no problem.

Hey Summer Starters,

I'm a Michigan 2L (former summer starter myself) and I've got a summer sublet opportunity for you guys. My girlfriend doesn't know or understand how to use TLS so here I am doing her bidding. Anyways, she lives in a house apartment with 5 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, kitchen, family room, etc. and her room is available for the summer. The place is really cozy/clean and about 2 blocks from the law school. $500 a month would be ideal. It's available from May 3 to August 17.

The other 4 rooms are available as well if there's a group of you guys that would want to live there.

Message me if you're interested.

Does anyone know what hotel they reserved for us? I visited a few weeks ago and don't remember seeing any hotels close to campus.

These are both downtown and around a 10 minute walk.

There is a little footnote in the Admitted Students Website, in the Mail & Money section, that says documents may take longer to get to herbivores.

Sorry... don't know what has gotten into me today... :-D
