I have a sweatshirt with the logo on it... best sweatshirt I've ever had, even if I've only had it for a week. :-)

As I posted in the other thread for MLaw applicants, my financial aid section just says Zero Awards Found without the paragraph that was there before. I'm hoping it's not, but it's looking like that's for the worse.

I'm thinking the same thing :( But I really wasn't expecting anything, since I was only above one of their 75th percentiles and below the other 25th. Plus I was an ED, which decreases chances for scholarship money to begin with.

If we do summer start do we have to fill out two FAFSAs? One for the June 2011- July 2012 qualifying period and one for 2012-2013?

Nevermind. Class starts in June technically so that doesn't even make sense.

Ugh FAFSA. That reminds me that eventually I'll have to do my taxes.

My dad's a Buckeye. The year I decided I was going to UF for undergrad (2007) was the year the Gators beat Ohio State in both the BCS National Championship and the NCAA Basketball Championship.
This year, I told him I'm going to Michigan Law, and a few days later Michigan broke their losing streak against the Buckeyes.

He swears I'm doing it on purpose. :D

Hahaha...that's awesome! I never really had any loyalties to Ohio, and now I'm true blue all the way! :D I've also never really cared very much about sports, but all of a sudden I have this strange desire to watch football...

Just got the "UM-1L: Secrets of the successful law student" in the mail and think its awesome.

Too bad every 1L will read the same advice, hana, but it really is very well put together and enjoyable to read.

I haven't gotten that, yet... when were you admitted? Also, did it show up in the ASW "Mail & Money" section under mailings?

Got a letter yesterday increasing my award by a sizable portion. (I was a deferred student, so I don't think it's something to be expected for all incoming students.) Thanks for not applying this year, thousands of applicants! You just saved me a bunch of cash.

Maybe they think we are so awesome we don't need it? That's what I'm telling myself, at least.

How cool is the yellow folder?

The personal note from Dean Z was short and sweet.

About this list of materials we're supposed to receive, did anyone else have said list? Mine didn't include the list which was supposed to be attached.

Oh, and the flash drive didn't tell me anything I didn't already know but I'm using that to show my 'rents and my grandmother so they can get a better sense for why I'm going to the midwest.

Totally do. TOTALLY do. Omg I spent so long passively hating my undergrad, I don't know how to express joy and pleasure towards an academic institution. Buy... football tickets?
