What kind of account did you set up? And how did you get it to work? I have no clue what's wrong with mine!

Setup an "other" account with the following settings:

Incoming server settings
Protocol - IMAP
Email address: 46nyc@umich.edu
username: 46nyc
password: 46nycrocks
IMAP server: mail.umich.edu
Security type: SSL
Server port: 993

Outgoing server settings
username: 46nyc
password: 46nycrocks
SMTP server: smtp.mail.umich.edu
Security type: SSL
Server port: 465

Use this and profit.

I'm still able to get into Wolverine Access, so you should still be able to see all the important stuff.

Crazies, I haven't been able to use the ASW since I got my uniqname. I think it makes your old number ID useless and the redirection to the status checker is just a glitch.

So I remembered when I was setting up my little brother's nook to go on our house wi-fi, it didn't like that we had punctuation marks in our password and it kept saying password incorrect, so I thought maybe that was happening here too. I had a punctuation mark in my uniqname password, but I just went on and changed it and now it works on my phone! I just went to add new gmail account, put in my umich email and new password without punctuation, and it worked.

I got my phone set up. If you're having trouble, here's what to do:

1: Sign out of all your google accounts, personal or otherwise.

2: Go here to reset your Kerberos password https://accounts.itcs.umich.edu/password

3: Go here to go directly to your account http://www.google.com/a/umich.edu

4: Log in using your new password

5: If step 4 works, follow the instructions here to set up your Exchange https://sites.google.com/a/umich.edu/go ... art-set-up

6: If you still have trouble, solve the captcha by going here https://www.google.com/accounts/UnlockCaptcha

7: go back to step 5

The issue is that your uniqname and gmail password need to be the same, but sometimes they don't sync automatically. By changing the password, the signal to sync gets sent out again. I hope this helps! It got my phone working.

Hello Michigan students,

I was looking forward to joining you in Ann Arbor this fall, but received a significant scholarship to another school and have decided to enroll there. I'm very sorry that I won't be able to meet all of you. However, I wanted to let you all know that I signed a lease for a 1 bedroom apartment at Michigan that I am looking to assign to another student. It's not part of the reserved 1L housing, but to be honest I saw them and wasn't all that impressed. I stayed an extra day at ASW to go apartment hunting, and this apartment was definitely the best I saw.

True 1 bedroom apartment, about a 7 minute walk to the law school. It's part of a modern apartment building, not a subdivided house. Brand new kitchen, hardwood floors, lots of closet space, as well as indoor storage for your bike in the apartment. Rent is $1150/month and the lease begins September 1 (although there is the option for early move-in).

My decision is likely going to come down to the last minute.
