HAHA. Could be the pressure from the ominous ranking/employment prospect cloud, but this made me lolol.Elliott_Smith wrote:Shirts and also pants with a possibility of shoes

I will be in a tux anytime after six as is proper and respectable.
Seriously though -how does this usually work? The schedule doesn't seem to have anything too formal on it, do I need to bring a suit along? Dress shirts?

PM Blowhard and maybe he'll answer. I believe he said he will be at the dinners for the Preview Weekends, so he may be able to shed light on the issue.Elliott_Smith wrote:I will be in a tux anytime after six as is proper and respectable.

The most formal-sounding event on the schedule seems to be the Faculty Reception. I guess I could wear a skirt or dress.

It'll be warm here, folks.
You don't need to get fancy. Wear what you would normally wear on an average 65-70 degree day. I'll be leading/eating dinner with some of you, and I intend to wear jeans and a michigan t-shirt.
You're coming here to see what we're like at michigan, and while some of us are classy all the time, the vast majority are jeans and a t-shirt/sweatshirt types. Bring a dress shirt/something nice for the faculty reception if you want, but I seriously doubt they will care.

Yep... that is my little guy. You should see his slapshot... no joke. It is actually quite frightening how massive I think he is going to be. I measure my kids (daughter and son, daughter is older by 14 months) once a month. This Saturday, I measured them as always. My son's mark was the same as an older mark for my daughter. My son is going to be 3 in a week. The mark he was at for my daughter was when she was 3 years, 7 months. And she is tall for her age (I think she is 44 inches and she just turned 4). Can we say 1st round draft pick?jfish wrote:Is that your kid? SO CUTE!ScrabbleChamp wrote:PM Blowhard and maybe he'll answer. He said he isn't going to discuss anything specific to Michigan, but he will share personal experiences. I don't think asking what to wear is a uniquely Michigan proposition.UnamSanctam wrote:PM Blowhard? LOLOLOLScrabbleChamp wrote:PM Blowhard and maybe he'll answer. I could be wrong but I think the current status of his profile means that he's changed his mind about sticking around TLS.ScrabbleChamp wrote:He said he isn't going to discuss anything specific to Michigan, but he will share personal experiences. Is anyone else planning on going to one of the alumni receptions? And how formal do you think it's going to be? Suit, pants and a shirt? Jeans and a shirt?
