I think that applies mostly if you eat a lot of red meat

then if you don't eat red meat, just cut off your arm. not only will you lose the weight of your arm, you will also only be able to stuff your face one hand--your only hand--at a time. it's a win win.

hell, if it's not too fat you might even be able to sell it on the black market. then it's a win win win.

Are there any actual law students posting in this thread? I'm seeing a lot of 0Ls lecturing about what we should or should not have time for in law school.

If you feel you don't have the time to work out, at least cut back on the calories. Drink lots of water, chew gum, start smoking cigarettes....

TITCR and tobacco too.

I credit my summer ADD diagnosis and recent adoption of tobacco use for being in my best shape since freshman year of college...before the freshman 15.

There is plenty of time to work out*, except maybe for the last month before/during finals. This is especially true if you're a guy: 3x45 min of weightlifting per week should at least keep you at your normal weight.

*) Finding the motivation to do so may be a different story...

It helps with the appetite suppression and is much less distracting than eating. It's actually a good alternative to lots of distracting things. I also don't do it to appear cool and try to make my use pretty discreet. I'm not talking cigarettes, but Swedish snus. A form of oral tobacco that doesn't contain nearly as many carcinogens as cigarettes or other tobacco products. It also doesn't require spitting, so it's virtually undetectable.

I find that it can help with focus when sitting through a long class or working on a writing assignment.
