Would someone mind recommending me a backpack to accommodate a laptop with a 17" screen? I was looking at these

but I'm not sure if any of these will have enough space for my laptop, my books (assuming 3 classes/day), and gym clothes since I plan on using Gold's Gym near my law school. If it matters, I'm going to commute by train daily because I can't afford a car at the moment. Thanks

I'm happy with it, it's big enough to accommodate my Sony Vaio 16.4 inch widescreen laptop w/a Targus sleeve around it also. Plenty of room and storage for books, notebooks, etc.

Right now you can get it at Best Buy for a little more than the Targus website but this week it comes with a free Targus sleeve. This combined with the backpack looks like it is really going to protect my laptop well. The sleeve is a $25-$30 value which makes it a better deal combined. Here's the Best Buy promotion:

Most days I carry a super awesome leather tote in pink. Space for 1 small 5 subject book, pencil case etc.

When I have work to do at school, I take my Jaguar backpack with my laptop sleeve inside OR a larger tote with a laptop compartment for my 13" MacBook.

My Jansport airlift has been my academic sidekick for almost 8 years now. It's going to be hard deciding whether to keep it or not for law school. (Its really getting old, and there is duct tape on one of the straps, but I think that gives it character)
