I'm in DC and it seems to be all of the rage all of the sudden to take the DC Bar because of the Uniform Bar Exam? I thought it's always been considered weak sauce to take the DC bar right out of school. Does anyone know what this is all about?

Why would it be weak sauce and more importantly why would you care? If it gets you licensed in the place you want to practice, go nuts.

Before the DC bar was UBE people didn't take the DC bar because they could just take another state and waive into DC whereas the DC bar couldn't get you waived in to anywhere else. Now that the DC bar is UBE, more people are just taking the DC bar because they know they can waive into those other UBE states down the line if they want to.
