I had six roommates in college- freshman year was fine, sophomore year was great, junior year was so-so, senior year was fine, and my victory lap SUCKED, mostly because I was living with the same guy from the previous year, and he decided to let his girlfriend move in. He became the biggest asshole in the world, and would routinely have loud obnoxious sex when my friends were over. He redefined 'classy'.
In law school, I decided that I'd take a chance and rent a 2BR place...the cost of living is insanely cheap here, so I'm not spending much money at all, and I have ~1,000 square feet to myself. In law school, you just cannot underestimate the importance of Naked Thursdays and Whiskey Fridays.
However, I'm a really social person, so it does get lonely at times (I don't live around other students). I'm honestly thinking about getting a dog to help take my mind off of school and whatnot; living by yourself + having a dog = ++++++++++++EV

I would totally live with some other people. I am really just not a fan of living alone I guess. I anticipate being at the library most of the time anyways. Living with people can technically count as a social life! ha

I thought I wanted to live alone, but i'm so glad I have roommates. Law school is pretty isolating and tiring, it's nice having human interaction at home.

Granted, this probably has a lot to do with my current living situation. I live in a four-bedroom on-campus apartment, and all the common areas are downright unlivable (think dried beer all over the floors, puke stains on the carpets, dishes piled so high up in the kitchen sink that they touch the tap, etc). To help matters, my roommates are a mama's boy who doesn't really know how to take care of himself, a legit alcoholic who doesn't look to be changing things up anytime soon despite facing a pending DWI charge, and the last one is a loud obnoxious ******* who beats his girlfriend from time to time. Bliss.
You should probably report the domestic violence to the on campus authorities.

My vote is for living with people you hate, it will force you to spend more time at the library.
