Hey everyone.

I decided to bite the bullet and work for the solo practitioner I worked for last summer. It is in my town and pays, so that fulfills my financial needs. Hopefully I can get some 3L OCIs and land a firm job now that I am working an actual legal job this summer. Also, I am helping tutor for the LSAT

Thanks everyone for posting. It is really awesome of everyone to respond. Hopefully, things will work out. I still want to teach badly but I will put that in the backburner for now so I can focus on getting a good firm job from the OCIs in the Fall.

I think this is a troll solely by nature of "OCIs." And it's working because I want to punch something every time I read it.

I've had the same reaction every time I see "OCIs."

And I'm too lazy to go back and quote it, but OP said that he "knows" his grades are good enough for 3L "OCIs" - let's be clear: you have good grades, but NOT great grades. 3L OCI is nearly impossible, even for the students with great grades, which does not include you. I don't say this to be rude, but it's a reality check. Do not even let yourself entertain the idea of succeeding at 3L OCI. Work at the firm you've committed to, and HUSTLE HUSTLE HUSTLE!!!

I'm curious OP: what kind of job do you see yourself in a year after graduation? Three years after graduation? Five years?

OP, you should just try to become a high school teacher if you like teaching. Summers off, good benefits, and reasonable hours are nothing to sneeze at. Law professor isn't going to happen, and you've said you're not interested in litigation, transactional work, writing, or being in a suit and tie office environment. It sounds like there are few, if any, legal jobs you'd actually be interested in.
