2L: Securities Regulation

Post by WolverineMachine » Wed Jan 14, 2015 7:17 pm

Is securities regulstion necessary for transactional work? I'll be at a V100 firm this summer and would prefer to take sec reg 3L as I currently intern for pay and have scheduling restraints. Taking it 3L would make things easier for me but I will take sec reg prior to summer associate summer if it is truly necessary and/or beneficial.

I don't think it's necessary to take the class at all. BigLaw firms expect you to know nothing when you summer. It could help eventually, but it is not likely to matter for your 12 week summer at a firm.
