I got the exact same grade in all three of my substantive courses. It's hard to gauge based on one individual's grades, but it doesn't feel arbitrary to me.heyguys wrote:Also, one question I have that is of interest: for those of you who have gotten your grades back, how arbitrary do you feel the grading process has been?

Nope. Best grade was the test with a word limit.Kohinoor wrote:Anyone see a link between word count and grades?

My grades were all in the same range, too. I doubt they're really arbitrary.

Re: After Grades - What did we learn?
I noticed my best grades were on exams with a multiple choice component. They also both had word limits. I don't know if I just got more multiple choice questions correct than most of my peers, if I packed more analysis into the word limits, or both.

Are you even in law school?
I care not for the arbitrariness of grades. I despise the arbitrariness in grade reporting times on the part of the professors. Still nothing.

I'm from the south, so that didn't even occur to me.

It wasn't a knock. B+ is not a bad grade by any means. I was just taking a guess.JazzOne wrote:Just curious because you jumped into the thread on page 14 with nothing to contribute but a knock on my grades.Pizon wrote:Yes, I'm in law school... Why?

My bad then. I just got my first semester grades, and it's awkward. I want to celebrate, but everyone keeps shushing me. I'll deal.Pizon wrote:It wasn't a knock. B+ is not a bad grade by any means. alts for matriculated students imo. I'd post as the mysterious Darya-ye Noor thereby covering my trail.vanwinkle wrote:This is what I was thinking. The schools that are heavily represented here have all threatened to kill each other if anyone starts revealing grades, so there's no way to benchmark anything.GeePee wrote:That's not really a meaningful comparison anyway; it would only really be valuable if you could compare word counts between students (and that would require students in the same class posting grades... not gonna happen)

That's one house I haven't tried much of. It looks and sounds like a pretty good one though. I'm a big nectar imperial fan.
