Having another LRW meltdown. I can't get any kind of cohesive thought together, I can't write point headings, and I want to punch my plaintiff in the face.

I was in this boat yesterday.. I came home, did some chores around the house, took a nap and a shower.. It really helped me refocus when I started again! You can do it!

TSL disappeared and you guys haven't been freaking out as much now that you've got a semester under your belts (the latter is a good thing) ran out of unique adjectives and/or DSM-V diagnoses to describe your 120 lives

How long do you have until your LRW assignment is due? If you have a few days, take a break from it and pull yourself together. For me, staring at that blinking cursor and empty page is a death knell and only serves to reinforce the panic. Stepping back for a few hours, or even a full day, helps me to collect my thoughts and I always come back stronger.

Friday morning. I have all my cases, but actually making it work is driving me nuts. I took a quick read of the relevant section of a treatise on the subject, and I feel a little better, but I'm just going to relax for a little bit and take my mind off it. Maybe I'll have an epiphany.

Thanks for that. I'm gonna make some dinner, do some laundry, and take another run at it before I get some sleep.

I'm not motivated to do anything. Somehow I get the readings done, but I feel like I have an insane amount of free time. I'm sure it's an illusion and I'm actually really fucking myself over, but it doesn't feel too bad so far. Memo due next week -- it's in pretty bad shape right now. Idk. The drive isn't there anymore.

I think there's something about me that says, "Don't even give this kid a phone screener."

2nd semester 1L and I'm amply more panicked than I was last semester. I did really well, and I'm worried that somehow everyone is going to knock me out of the way and destroy my grades this semester. Constantly panicked, and worried about what others are doing.

my god do i know you?

i have recently made the mistake of hanging around really irritating and anal retentive people who are extra worried about this semester. these are the very people i hope don't get hired/ever find a job.

I felt the same way. There's nothing you can do but put your head down and grind. Looking over your shoulder and wondering what everyone else is doing won't help. In my experience, things didn't change all that much after the second semester. The people who did well first semester and didn't let it get to their heads (i.e., the one's who actually kept studying) did just as well.

Brotherdarkness, that's exactly what I need to hear; thank you. I've stepped up my game this semester, just to stay on the safe side :)
