Was this in line with your recent MBE practice scores?

Thanks! I was scoring right around there on the Barbri questions and I got a 165 on the single NCBE set I bought. So almost exactly in line with my practice scores.

Thank you!
That's good to hear brother and ought to be good news for those of us with good PT scored who are still waiting.

I scored very consistently on the BarBri MBE questions but that actual MBE felt so much different it's hard to imagine I actually scored at the same clip. Great to hear how people have done.

I got a 148 raw score which translated into a 163.5 scaled score.
Thanks for this, I got the exact same scaled and was curious what my raw was.

On an even more positive note, I have spoken with many past takers who said that they actually scored higher on the MBE than in barprep, despite the fact that they walked out of the MBE feeling like they had been destroyed.

Good to hear, ironman. Thanks!

I wouldn't have expected this thread to be the positivem, up-beat bar results thread while the lounge thread is the dreary, depressing, and anxiety filled one.

Well the reality is, coming out of the test, you only remember 50 or so questions off the top of your head and they are the ones that stick with you. So that skews your perception that it was a brutal test.

In fact, it might not have been. Rather, we feel like it was because we remember all the planes that might have crashed, not the planes that probably landed.

Yeah true. And if you missed 50 you destroyed the bar

Even if you get a 120 you could still squeak by the MBE portion

I have a bro who passed PA and get 110 raw. If you are in an essay strong state (2/3 essay) then an MBEbomb can happen and you can still have a good chance of passing.

No problem.

MO actually breaks down everything: I know my raw score for every essay question and each MBE subject, too.

Oddly enough, we got the same UBE score: 324. Congrats!

Congrats. I killed the Barbri practice MBE too (140+). But I didn't do as much practice after the practice MBE and focused on practice essays. How much did you keep studying for the MBE after your practice one?

I hope I can knock it out the park like you did, man. An awesome MBE can overcome a lot of sins in the essays.
I was one who focused almost exclusively on MBE work until the last few weeks. I think my scores reflect the imbalance. MBE is very solid, and was WAY more than I needed to pull up rather flat essays scores. I suppose there are any number of approaches that will get you across the finish line. If you crushed the Barbri practice MBE like that, you're golden!

Are you guys talking about the simulated final or the full length practice MBE that was before that? I vaguely remember a second full-length MBE that I didn't do at the end.

I only took the earlier full length practice MBE, and skipped the simulated final. At a certain point, I stopped caring about what Barbri had planned for me and just did the things that made sense to me based on how I felt prepared. More than one way to reach nirvana...

Cool, that's what I wanted to make sure... I did the same after somewhat killing the first one. If only I could score that high on the real one...LOL.

How are people figuring out when their state is set to release? Any way to know more than a day or two out?

For my state, the exam proctor told the people taking the bar an estimated date to expect release of the scores. But even without that, I also did a google search and found when they released in other years, just to get some kind of estimated date if history is any guide.

This. VA said Oct 31 but historically they have beat that by a week or two so I have my fingers crossed they are just giving themselves a cushion.

E.g.:
2012 = Oct 11
2011 = Oct 14
2010 = Oct 20

IL emailed us, and also appears to be going with their regular release date.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
