807 total, 169 scaled MBE. The curve on the MBE must have been ridiculous. I thought I completely bombed the MBE.

The scale was only a few points higher than 2011, so it was slightly harder but within any sort of margin of error.SMU2013 wrote:807 total, 169 scaled MBE. The curve on the MBE must have been ridiculous. I thought I completely bombed the MBE.

NJ results are out. Passed it too, way less eventful than passing the first state.

Re: bar results waiting thread
Does anyone else in NJ have the notice that "your reviewing attorney has not yet completed the reveiw of your file"? Wondering whether it's normal or there's something upsetting about my application.... I thought the whole reason C&F is first is so you don't have to sit the exam if you won't pass C&F.... Passed but now ackk!!!

Hey! Does anyone know where to go to find the nj results? I keep logging in to my account but I don't see any notifications under my user page. Did you guys get a notification email? Thanks!

Ummmm also it still has "you will be notified" as my reviewing attorney. But I thought I had one before. ??????
^ yeah you get an email. If you log on before getting the email I don't think it's there.

Mine says the same C&F stuff. I passed PA C&F so I doubt there are any issues, NJ is probably just slow with that.

I don't think so, they seem to be rolling out randomly. I know at least one guaranteed passer who hasn't heard yet.WrappedUpInBooks wrote:I still have nothing... should i be worried?

Re New Jersey dues:
It seems like they waive your dues for the year you're admitted. So if I get admitted before the end of 2013 then 2013 will be my free year and I'll have to pay dues for 2014. Is this correct? If so, doesn't it make sense to wait until January 1, 2014 to send in the signature card? This way 2014 is my free year.

Passed NJ. Mine says "A review of your file indicates that you have successfully completed all of the bar admission requirements established by the Supreme Court. You are now eligible for admission to the Bar of the State of New Jersey."

That seems to indicate that its $75 for new attorneys so I think we have to pay now.

MBE: Scaled 154.5 (BarBri mid-term 128)
Overall: 793 (need 675 in TX)
MBE was about what I was hoping for, but pretty stunned that I was strong like bull on the essays. They felt legit terrible and I wrote about 4 actual practice ones during my entire prep.
Also, I messed up on the MPT and accidentally put my real name in the memo header. Looks like they didn't care.

Re: bar results waiting thread
I ordered my MBE score almost a month after getting my results, because the curiosity was killing me. (I took MN.) 146.6. Needed to average 130 MBE + 130 essays (on the same scale) to pass. I thought my essays sucked but apparently they must have been decent, and/or the highly-weighted MPTs (20%) saved me.
Barbri midterm was something really low like 102 but I crammed heavily in the final three weeks.
ETA: They do not tell us, nor do we have anyway to find out, what our essay scores were (at least if we pass).

NJ and VA came out very recently, probably since you posted this, but WA came out forever ago, sometime in September I think.Bikeflip wrote:brose002 wrote:Congrats everyone! Who's left now (besides us CA takers)?
I think NJ and VA are still waiting. Dunno about a bunch of states (WA, OK, NV, In, etc etc etc)

Re: bar results waiting thread
Does anyone know when the other dates/locations are for the NJ swearing in ceremony? In my notification I was given the link to the 12/3 Trenton swearing in ceremony, but I already signed up for the 12/3 NY "intro to the practice" lecture that everyone has to do. Trying to find the other NJ swearing in ceremonies on their website but no such luck.

Eh, I literally made up laws for one of the essays and I did fine. Texas has so many sections that it's hard to fail unless you bomb them all at once.

Add me to those in NJ with a slow reviewing attorney. Blah. Jealous of everyone who is getting the December swearing in information. It also says "do not contact your reviewing attorney" so it's not like I can e-mail and ask for a timetable .

Is swearing in optional in NJ? I don't really feel like taking time off to go do it if I don't have to.keg411 wrote:Add me to those in NJ with a slow reviewing attorney. Blah. Brother, read the letter. Just send in the oath card and let it do.

Hmm well for one, I'm female. Also, the letter says there are other local swearing in ceremonies and after everything I went through to pass I'd like to attend a ceremony. But thanks for the advice.Bronx Bum wrote:mhd08 wrote:Does anyone know when the other dates/locations are for the NJ swearing in ceremony? Lol I made up a bunch of stuff too, especially on the wills and estates question. I used the 1/3-2/3 rule for every issue. I figured it was bound to be correct for at least one issue.kalvano wrote:IrwinM.Fletcher wrote:MBE: Scaled 154.5 (BarBri mid-term 128)
