How do schools calculate rank when there are both full-time and part-time students?

What I have generally observed is that PT students are calculated initially just within their section, and then later on they are calculated with the day students they will graduate with. So for example, students enrolled in PT 4 year programs in Fall 2012 will not be ranked against day students enrolled in Fall 2012. Instead those PT students will be ranked against each other only, and then ranked with all full time day students that enter Fall 2013. The reason for this is because part-time students usually take four years (with certain programs excepted -- Cardozo principally comes to mind).

Rad Lulz is right though, each school has their own method so it would help if you offered that information.
